Chapter Seven

The next two blood doves circled the arena, watched by the crowd as every pair of eyes in the stadium followed their descent, wondering whose cages they would land on.

One dove flapped its wings and came to rest atop Janus’s cage.

The other perched upon Xavius’s cage.

Cornelius turned quickly to Lady Pandora. “They’re both my contenders. Surely they’re not expected to fight one another this early in the night.”

Pandora simply shrugged. “The blood doves have chosen. Your men will fight.”

“But Xavius has just done battle. He needs time to recover.”

“As I said, the blood doves have chosen. It is time for you to join Marcellus and Faustus… and watch one of your men die.”

The General clenched his teeth furiously as he watched the doors to the cages open and his two contenders rush into battle against each other. Xavius already had his sword and despite his wounds he charged into the arena. Janus scooped up a trident from the ground; it could be used as a handheld weapon like a sword, or as a spear, but with three tips instead of one, it could do three times the damage if used correctly.

Janus held no loyalty to Xavius. The large, young, bearded slave simply wanted the chance to win the tournament and take his revenge on General Cornelius. If that meant killing young Xavius in the process, then so be it.

As Xavius raced across the arena at Janus with his sword held high, Janus charged with trident in hand. When Xavius was close, Janus raised the trident and threw it at the young gladiator with all his strength.

The three tips slammed directly into Xavius’s large chest—the outer tips piercing straight into Xavius’s left and right nipples, and the center tip plunging straight into the middle of Xavius’s chest.

The blow knocked Xavius off his feet and sent him flying backwards.

He landed on his back on the sandy ground, gasping for air and staring in anger and wide-eyed shock at the trident protruding from his chest.

Janus continued his charge before stopping at the splayed, wounded body of Xavius and clutching the trident in both hands.

He jerked it out of Xavius’s chest, the barbed tips ripping the young man’s nipples off as he did so.

Xavius roared and the crowd cheered.

He gripped his sword as Janus raised the trident high.

Before Xavius to strike at Janus, the bearded gladiator standing over him brought down the trident as hard as he could. This time he twisted the weapon in his hands, just before it entered the flesh. Now the three tips ran vertically up the length of Xavius’s body, one tip entering the middle of his chest, one tip puncturing his upper abs, and one piercing his navel.

Xavius arched his back, thrusting his torso upward onto the spiked weapon.

His cock had stiffened once again into a full erection, and pre-cum oozed from its slit once more.

Janus’s cock too had hardened into a large, meaty, vein-strapped erection, a combination of Pandora’s concoction and a need to finally have his vengeance.
